A thyroid profile test is a comprehensive set of tests that examine the function of your thyroid glands. The thyroid profile test assesses the Thyroxine (T4, Total) – Serum, Tri Iodothyronine (T3, Total) – Serum, Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) and Ultrasensitive TSH that helps in understanding the functioning of the butterfly-shaped thyroid gland located at the frontal part of your neck. It produces the hormones triiodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4).
